Finding the gallery is easy by looking at its position on Google maps. It can be found where Owls' Head Drive touches water, right next to a cute green bridge. You can also use these google map directions specifically from Halifax to the Gallery.
The first step for getting there is get on Highway 103, which is your corridor for the South Shore. Driving from halifax, take a left at exit 6 and then another left when you hit the T in the road. Soon after, turn right at a pharmacy and tourist bureau which will appear to your right. Sixteen kilometers later you will have found the iconic little fishing village, Northwest Cove. As you leave the village you will pass a big hill and find a community centre called "Ocean Swells." Turn left onto the Southwest Cove dirt road. When you come to a fork in the road, it may be a good idea to park your car and enjoy the short walk on the left road along the water. There you will find a collection of sail boats and the castle pictured below. The gallery is at the Green bridge, just a few hundred meters away.
The tourist bureau is a great help for finding what else is in the area, but let us suggest particularly "Shatford's Lobster Pound," a restaurant which sells the area's freshly caught lobster from local fisherman. You'll find it just a few kilometers before us down the road.
